EBSCO Income Properties, LLC, was formed in 2007 by its parent company, EBSCO Industries, Inc., for the purpose of establishing a portfolio of multifamily investments through co-investments with institutional and private equity partners.
Leslie L. Yeilding, General Manager and Vice President of EBSCO Income Properties, LLC
Leslie L. Yeilding became the General Manager and Vice President of EBSCO Income Properties, LLC, in September 2007. Since that time, Mr. Yeilding has successfully built a portfolio of 19 multifamily assets which is valued at over $550,000,000. All assets are located in the Southeastern United States.
Prior to EBSCO, Mr. Yeilding was with Equity Resources, LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama, from 1998-2007 with his last post being Chief Financial Officer. While there, he was actively engaged in all aspects of real estate investments including acquisitions, sales, refinances, transaction structure, debt structure, and closings. Additionally, Mr. Yeilding was responsible for maintaining a network of broker, strategic partner, and banking/lending relationships. During his tenure with Equity Resources, Mr. Yeilding was responsible for approximately $1,000,000,000 of real estate transactions and for a real estate portfolio valued at more than $400,000,000. Mr. Yeilding was also charged with the responsibility for all aspects of the day to day operations of the Investment Company. Prior to his position of Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Yeilding held the positions of Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions and Vice President, Real Estate Investments. .
Prior to his employment with Equity Resources, Mr. Yeilding worked for AmSouth Bank and SouthTrust Bank in various capacities of their commercial real estate divisions.
Mr. Yeilding is a current member of the Alabama Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Institute through which he successfully completed commercial real estate investment courses to receive the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Additionally, Mr. Yeilding has received the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation through the National Apartment Association. He also received the Lyceum Leadership designation of the National Apartment Association.
Mr. Yeilding is also very active in the apartment industry associations at the local, state, and national levels:
- Greater Birmingham Apartment Association
Mr. Yeilding served as President of the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association for 2010, and he served as a Board Member of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders for 2010. Since his tenure as President, Mr. Yeilding continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association and currently chairs the Legislative Committee. In December 2018, the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association inducted Mr. Yeilding into their Hall of Fame in recognition of his significant contribution to the association and also the apartment industry..
- Alabama Apartment Association
Mr. Yeilding also served as Vice President of the Alabama Apartment Association for 2011. He served as President Elect of the Alabama Apartment Association for 2012 and 2013 and served as President of the Alabama Apartment Association for 2014 and 2015. Since holding these offices, Mr. Yeilding continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Apartment Association and currently chairs the Legislative Committee.
- National Apartment Association
Mr. Yeilding has also been a voting member of the Board of Directors, representing Region IX as a Regional Vice President, since 2015. He is also extensively involved with the National Apartment Association and has held various committee positions:
- Independent Rental Owners’ Committee (IROC) – 2011, 2012. Mr. Yeilding was appointed to serve on the IROC by the Chairman of the National Apartment Association. IROC is designed for independent rental owners (IROs) of all sizes with the purpose of identifying and creating member benefits that enhance the overall value the NAA provides. This group develops programs such as forums, seminars and networking opportunities that assist IROs in developing and growing their businesses.

- Governance Committee – 2016-2018 (appointed to the 2018 Governance Task Force to revise NAA policies and procedures)

Mr. Yeilding graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Management. Mr. Yeilding also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alabama’s New College where he completed an in-depth study of Advertising and Marketing Communications. He completed his Masters of Business Administration in 1996 at The University of Alabama in Birmingham.
